Today on Sunday Arts Magazine, David chats with Bridget Sweeney, Director, “Outback Adventures.”
Bridget grew up in country Victoria and, on completion of Year 12, moved to Melbourne. She studied Theatre Production at the Victorian College of the Arts. Thinking Theatre Production was not for her, she moved to London to study film. On returning to Australia, she attended the National Theatre Drama School.
Bridget’s first role was in Shakespeare’s “The Comedy of Errors” with Melbourne Shakespeare Company. Early this year(2023) she directed “The Wacky Wombat”, and is now directing “Outback Adventures”, both for Melbourne Shakespeare.
“Outback Adventures” is performing outdoors at the St Kilda Botanical Gardens until 23rd December.
