A St Kilda Art Crawl – 4 artists – 3 galleries – 4 creative minds presenting 4 very different approaches to what is a portrait.
Artists: Enza Benincasa, Peter Berzanskis, Rus Kitchin & Maree Coote.

Launch Event: Everyone is welcome to the launch event on Tuesday 4 Oct @ 6 pm, drinks & meet the artists at Rus Kitchin Gallery, 63 Fitzroy St, St Kilda.

Weekly Events: Three weekly walks to each of the galleries, to meet the artists on Saturday 8th, 15th and 22nd of October 2022. Just turn up at 2 pm at the first gallery – Rus Kitchin – 63 Fitzroy St, St Kilda, then we will walk to the next gallery. Galleries include Maree Coote, Enza Benincasa, Rus Kitchin, and Stranger Gallery & Studio

David Hunt is The Art Hunter and is dedicated to interviews with artists of various disciplines - from visual arts to theatre; from writers to actors; from gallery curators to dancers. His aim is to showcase all aspects of the arts, with up close and personal in-depth conversations. Meet Chris Orr and Gavin Brown, the two artists whose work is displayed in the Motherboard Exhibition, on this exciting episode of Sunday Arts Magazine. Both artists are return special guests to the program.

Melbourne born, Gavin Brown has done fine art for forty years, and has exhibited his work in numerous exhibitions. The main theme in his work is the fascination of collage and assemblage. In Gavin’s own words, “this work should be monochromatic, a plethora of images, tumbling and falling and creating new compositions organically, as if they’ve just been dug up and are are speaking to us from the ancient world.” (Gavin Brown on the Fortyfivedownstairs website.)*

London born, award-winning graphic designer and full-time artist Chris Orr has exhibited his work worldwide. He has published four hundred limited edition prints in lithography, etching and silkscreen.

Gavin and Chris have exhibited their work in the Motherboard Exhibition, taking place at Fortyfivedownstairs in Melbourne, opening Saturday, 27th April and finishing Saturday, 4th May. This is the third exhibition Gavin and Chris have done together.
